Discover Historic Pickens County


Come Tour with US !

MVHS offers a basic Tour Package (about 3.5 hours) and a selection of two add-on options. Society members will lead or assist in leadership of the tours.

Basic Package

  1. The Old Pickens County Jail
  2. The Kirby Quinton Cabin
  3. Walking Tour of Jasper's Ten Most Historic Buildings (3 blocks)
  4. Sharptop Arts Center

Optional Museums

The entire group may select either of (or both) these additional options to be added to the Basic Tour

  • Talking Rock Schoolhouse Museum, $1 per person (entire group)
  • Marble Museum, Nelson, $5 per person (entire group)

Fees: $20 per person for the basic tour, plus optional site fees as indicated above.

When: Wednesdays 10am (April through November)

Reservations and Advance payment are required. Please complete the tour form and return it with check or money order to MVHS, P.O. Box 815, Jasper, Georgia.

Although the MVHS Tour does not include lunch their are six options for lunching in beautiful downtown Jasper. One opportunity is lunch at the Historic Woodbridge Inn on Wednesdays from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
