Honea-Worley Family History Award for Scholarship General Instructions

I. Rules and Regulations

This competition is open to members of the Pickens High School Senior Class.
Students do not have to be college bound to participate.

Your Family History as described herein must be submitted to the Senior Counselor's Office at Pickens High at the beginning of the last school day in April of your senior year.

Applicants must submit a four generation family history.
They may start with one of his/her parents or a resident of Pickens County, Georgia, who was born before 1960 and work back in time from the initial person to include that individual's parents, grandparents, and great grandparents (see chart immediately below).

Anyone with a special family situation (adoptions, extended families, etc.) may wish to have special instruction. to do so, please request by writing the MVHS at P.O. Box 815, Jasper, GA 30143, or contact us by e-mail.

Your family history must be submitted to the Pickens County High School Senior Counselor's Office at the beginning of the school on the last school day in April.

The awards will be announced at the PHS Awards Night in May, but the cash awards will not be paid until August.
